I greatly enjoyed the room, the bed was very comfy. Communal bathroom was clean. The location was unbeatable for me, to a convenience store. And it was also close enough to Naoshima Island.

Menu for breakfast could have had more options.

The room was large and had a shared bathroom, microwave oven, and a toaster. The bed was exceptionally comfortable as expected. The location was great, for example, Chichu Art Museum was not very far from the hotel. This property was set in a beautiful area.

We stayed at Hoshikuzu for one night and loved it. The room size was really generous and the double futon on the floor made it super comfortable. The heated bed warmers were a great touch, especially after getting soaked in a sudden downpour. Despite the owner not speaking much English, she made us feel really welcome. The online photos don't do justice to the beautiful house. The location was great, close to amenities and a short walk from the port. Highly recommended!
Do recommend this hotel.

I had a wonderful experience at a traditional Japanese ryokan called Hoshikuzu. the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect, with easy access to a 7-11, the port, and bus station. the house had a charming old Japan feel, but also had modern amenities for comfort. the room was spacious and clean, with comfortable futon beds and a TV. They even provided a tea set for a truly authentic experience. it was a fantastic stay in a beautiful ryokan. Cons: Nothing for me. 😊.

The nearest airport is just a hop away, and I loved having air conditioning and an electric kettle in the room. The art houses were close by, making it easy to explore.
Nope, nothing to complain about. except maybe the fact that I can't stay here forever.

The location is incredibly convenient, being just a stone's throw away from the ferry station and a 7Eleven store. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, making it easy to find a place to eat. the room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. the bathroom facilities are clean and well-maintained. Plus, the staff provide helpful information about local restaurants and there are beautiful origami decorations in the communal area.
The check-in process can be a bit inconvenient as it requires calling the owner to let you in, which can be a hassle if you don't have a working phone.

Comfortable and welcoming guesthouse with a traditional Japanese feel. Fully equipped kitchen and great bathroom. Conveniently located near the main port and amenities such as a supermarket and restaurants. the futon bedding was comfortable and the entire place was spotlessly clean.
Arrangement for check-in was a bit odd, having to call the owner upon arrival. It might be challenging for some guests to navigate the steep steps and low beams in the upstairs bedroom.

We had the most serene and peaceful stay at a lovely traditional house. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the ferry terminal. The house was clean and well maintained, and the heating kept us warm despite the cold weather. Our room, although small, was comfortable for two people. The shared facilities, including two toilets and a bathroom, were adequate for our needs. We also appreciated the availability of a coin laundry and dryer. Check-in was quick and easy, and they now accept credit cards. we highly recommend this place for a comfortable and convenient stay.

The attention to detail was incredible, with info about local restaurants and awesome bathing and laundry facilities. Plus, the communal area had the most beautiful origami decorations. Staying here was an absolute pleasure!
